| Every three years, thirty of the brightest and most promising Christian Scientists gather for two weeks in the middle of a Boston winter to hold Normal Class with an appointed Teacher. One of the students writes a paper exposing the lie, like nowhere else; and they discuss the paper; and then it is destroyed forever. (MAN90:17) What is this lie? Not your everyday anti-Christian propaganda that sifts through the nimble fingers of authors contemning (if not outright condemning) each other. It is the lie called, Archaeodus [first journey], the, behind-the-allegory, beneath-the-print, between-the-pages, before-the-popular-version, real, origin and genesis of mankind's first christening on Earth: a hundred years before the first normal listener, two hundred years before the first catechesis: the true story of Adam in Eden, and what he withheld from his rendition, and, why. The following article is a plausible reconstruction of just what did happen, deducted from the Biblical redaction of the Scriptural record(s). |
In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth - We begin our discussion of the heaven and our planet, Earth, as when already created complete by the already (always) present God-Mind-Principle (good) of all being and immortality ... Prior developments, the (bright) oriental amassing of our sun and its (adjacently paired*) planets have, for the sake of our simple rendition, already concluded, dimmed, cooled, and settled: the stars and planets condensed, and discerned only by God, Mind, Soul.
But the Earth was without form, and void; darkness was upon the face of the deep waters, and a mighty tempest scoured the surface - The Earth itself was spheroidal but without land forms, spinning, dark, and devoid of plants and animals: the crustal surface was yet geographically unstable but cool enough to be covered everywhere in deep boiling hot (liquid) waters, while vulcanism glimmered beneath ... hardened magmas yet heaved and cracked, sheared, and spewed forth glimmering vulcanic lavas ... lightning flashed and broke the darkness, and tempestuous winds raged across steam roiled murky oceans.
And God said, Let there be light, and there was light; and
God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light
from the darkness ... and God called the light, day, and the
darkness, night ... and the evening and the morning were the
first day -
The solar nebula still warmly blanketing the Earth thinned to
let the sunlight break through and illumine the Earth, and begin
to force its weather patterns. This emergent full light though
actually deep 'hot' red typified (a) day in the first significant
phase of planetary improvement. The sun had ignited its deep interior
star-engine, and began to heat and blow its dust shroud
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst, to divide
the waters above, from the waters beneath; and God saw that it
was good ... the second day -
Already the fresh sunlight began to drive the atmosphere into
stabler modes, warming and raising the higher layers, cooling
more rapidly at the poles, keeping the equatorial latitudes warm,
cycling day-night transitional breezes, photo-electrically
energizing chemical alterations of its composition. The tempest
calmed and cleared, water clouds formed high in the sky and
developed a daily rain cycle, further cooling the exposed magmas.
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered
together into seas, and let the dry land appear ...
the third day -
The already bulging lava mounts stabilized sufficiently to form
(eon-relatively) permanent islands and continents. Rains colder than
steam weathered the drying magma top-surface, seeping into it,
altering its chemistry, reducing it to arable sand and soil.
Blue-green vegetation requiring only clemency of
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the
heaven ...and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for
days and years; and God made [the sun and the moon] and the
stars also ... to give the light upon the Earth ... and God saw
that it was good ... the fourth day -
By [now] the Earth was progressing well: the story had begun
after the cosmic aether realm had heaven and settled; the
mineral kingdom was then established, and the vegetation (plant)
kingdom given its dominion upon Earth; but before the fish and
fowl, having eyes, could migrate, the sky had to clear to such
night coolness as would allow seasons, and seeing the stars.
The solar nebula which had once shrouded the sun in darkness,
then removed on the first 'day' [phase], finally dispersed to such
thinness that the very distant stars could be discerned from
Earth view as tiny points of colored light. The sun and moon had
actually appeared sooner (certainly in sequence, possibly by
'day's) but without meaning until the fixed stars framed the
year-cycles, and the polar and night skies cooled to less than
a dark-warm glow, giving seasons their growing meaning. Time,
too, took on an orderly meaning, as more than cause and effect
unfolding, as rhythm and higher tones: the music of the spheres.
And God said, Let the fish propagate and populate the the seas,
and let the fowl multiply and fill the skies ... the fifth day -
Creatures in the seas, and flying into the air - expectably, too,
insects feeding on vegetations (spoils) - may have existed sooner
than this fifth 'day' [phase] - even in the mid-third 'day' [phase] -
but fish and fowl need sight, and sun, moon, and stars (and seasons
necessarily) to migrate, and thus by definition, became fish and
fowl fully in the day [phase] after these appeared. Further, it
is interesting that sight is more a property of Mind, than of
Life (in this textural meaning), whence we see creation rising
above mere lush existence ... to discernment.
And God said, Let the creatures that creep on the land bring
forth after their kind ... and God created man in his image and
likeness, male and female ... and God gave man dominion over all
the Earth, and over every thing ... the sixth day -
This sixth 'day' [phase] presents the final, and greatest advance.
Whereas at God's command the Earth developed and brought forth the
tender herb, at last the Earth is prepared for a development that
emanates more directly from Mind, no longer dependent so meekly
upon time and space that yield always to the greater intelligence,
but ultimately reflecting completely the harmony of Mind and its
creation: God's continuing government. That geologically
creatures have remained on Earth far before present mankind - as
dinosaurs preceded mammals - does not refute the order (phases)
of creation typified as six days, nor prevent the possible
preexistence or presence of mankind (God's man) earlier. Neither
can we supply this GENESIS for only our planet Earth, as every
viable [habitable] planet has gone through similar developments.
But we can discern a basic rhythm to thought, repeated again and
again in ascending tones, that does not cease with mere
intellectual satisfaction: for indeed, God next sets a standard
above even his image and likeness: even his own very reflection,
a demonstrable example of his own thought, a Science of being
God, the All-in-all.
And God rested on the seventh day and hallowed it -
Mind rests in eternal action (perpetual motion, not material).
This higher thought of God more than declares good and its
manifestation(s), but hallows it: designates all for holy
purpose only, not for its own purposes though that is how it was
first perceived and so described (bringing forth after its kind)
which denoted its orderliness. God alone gives the reason, and
only God understands why (and we reflect that this is revealed
unto us). Thus Godliness is God's standard, above the creation
that yields to it. It isn't called, man, or, me, but it is the,
I, expressing perfection, perfectly. But, this Science must have
its specific examples - it is actually applicably possible
(universally imposable and demonstrable).
Before seed grew in the Earth -
This universal (cosmic) template of Earth (planetary) development
seems finished before the thought; But now, this is the 'seed' of
typical example, the finally approved seventh-day 'seed' - even as
fish and fowl were not so until they could migrate with the seasons,
so this 'seed' is to be understood as above the mundane specifications
of order of reproductions - it is the 'seed' to which we refer when we
identify this example as anointed for us. The meaning of GENESIS
becomes darkened here, not by change of venue, but because the example
must be (must have been) brought to Earth - even as seed may be
brought to a certain place - and 'grow' with it ... and examples stir
human thought, and mix with general (indigent, specious) human
experience(s), and are preferred, but remain exemplary, whence the
record of creation seemed, even at its early writing, to the mixed
human thought that was beginning to be supplied this example, to be
clearly understood, as it was the creation of the Earth and its
development up till the seventh 'day' [phase]; but (now) thereafter
the example is on Earth closer to present experiential consistency,
and mixes the meaning of the simple story, even to its word order.
Everyone it would seem has had a hand in trying to adjust the early
(even pedagogically) recollected meaning and wording of GENESIS, and
the mixture shows, yet not opaquely: the result of priesthood,
scientist (doctor) theory, historian (scribe) record, even gay
(lawyer) pedantry (which puts the letter above the spirit, and
amplifies error(s) instead).
We saw in GENESIS first a simple review of
remote time, yet God was there. Now we draw near to GENESIS and
ask for a clear perception amidst hampering human learning,
comprehension, fears, doubts, and attempts at renewed sincerity
revived from disputable idolatry. It is not the record alone
that seems murkier, but mere human (un)willingness to abandon
the incomprehensible largeness of God until it can no longer
either accomplish that or even know what incomprehensibility
might be: indeed, all creation itself did not begin with the
heaven and the Earth in darkness, but before that moment, says
human thought presently,
For the moment GENESIS continues looking inward upon the seventh 'day'
[phase], not forward. Hitherto was absolute good: everything grew;
then came the relative good: individual survival; Jehovah and Adam and
Eve presented this more refined concept of good, higher and more
permanent than the kings of the Earth could conceive (until the KING
of kings).
But there arose a mist, and covered the face of the Earth
... [continuing] ...

[We must note here in closing that the plausible actual
would become speculative if we merely imagine what persons
may have done, said, meant ... the importance is in the
demonstration of the Christ Science: not to rediscover
that which is today abundant, but discern and live it]
